This page should be helpful if you've got a question, but we may have missed some out in which case just yell.

How do I sign up? Do I have to be a supermodel, wear haute couture and have a sexy French accent?

Whilst everyone loves a sexy French accent, WIWT is for anyone and everyone. If you have an internet connection and a shirt on your back, you can play! You can sign-up here. (There are, admittedly, some exceptions to the rule. Under 13s, slaggy porno types and people who just wanna write ‘YOU UGLY’ are not welcome. Soz.)

How do I post an outfit? I’m wearing exceptionally cool kicks and need to show you immediately.

Once you’ve logged in, click the ‘Add Your Outfit’ button on the top right of the screen. It should be pretty obvious from this point, but you upload your photos (a maximum of three) and then you are brought to the tagging page. We like the tagging page. Click the garments within your photo(s) that you want to tag, tell us what type of garment it is from the drop down list and then tell us the brand and a buy link if you know one. Then you can tag your outfit with your mood (happy, crappy etc), your situation (work, clubbing etc) and where you are (St Tropez, New York, Slough etc). You can add a description if you want, it’s nice to hear what you’re up to. Then hit ‘save’ and you’re done!

How do I tag an outfit? The world needs to know where I bought this belt.

How do I edit/delete an outfit? I’ve made a terrible mistake and I’m so ashamed.

Go to the outfit you want to edit/delete and you will see a big red ‘Edit Outfit’ button on the top right. You can’t miss it. Then you can edit your tags or description, delete one of your pictures or delete the entire outfit. Obviously if you delete the outfit then you’ll lose the gold stars.

Can I post more than once a day? I’ve had six outfit changes just through dinner.

No, sorry. We’re pretty strict about only one post per user per day. If you want to be a smartarse then you can take advantage of the fact that we allow three photos per post and upload three different outfits. We won’t tell you off if you do that.

How do I get on the Editor’s Choice page? It’s the only way my parents will be proud of me.

If we told you that we’d have to kill you. (You basically just need a cool outfit that catches our eye).

How do I ‘favourite’ the outfits I like? A boy in San Diego just wore a dinosaur t-shirt that blew my mind.

Click on the star symbol on any photo to add it you favourites – you can easily see which outfits you’ve already starred as the star becomes gold. Mmmm, gold. All the outfits you give a gold star too then get nestled away in your ‘Favourites’ tab in your dashboard, so they’re always easy to find again. You can ‘un-favourite’ something by just clicking the star again.

What are kudos points? I seem to be gaining kudos and I have no idea why. But it sounds good. Is it good?

You gain kudos for various actions on the site such as filling in your profile information, receiving gold stars, uploading an outfit, being featured on the homepage and so on. Soon we’ll have ‘charts’ (Top of the Pops styleey) where you will be able to see the top users in different cities and you can compare yourself with your friends. Kudos points can also be used for other things such as gaining invites to events and entering competitions. You can read more about kudos here.

How do I reset my password? I memorised my 17 times tables and my password must have fallen out of my brain.

If you ever forget your login details then these can be reset at the login page.

How do I buy something I like on the site? There’s a girl wearing a unicorn necklace that makes my heart melt.

Users are encouraged to tag their photos with where they bought the items from and, where possible, include shopping links. Hopefully the user will have said where they got the item from and provided a link, in which case just click the ‘Buy’ button next to the link and a new tab will open for you to shop, shop, shop! If a user hasn’t included tags then you can always leave a comment on the post and hopefully they’ll help you out.

Am I allowed to post a picture of me doing drugs with my privates out? I have nice privates. A man in Reno told me. (Then I shot him, just to watch him die).

No! Have some class. We try not to go too crazy for ‘rules’, but the WIWT Commandments are found here. Read them, learn them and OBEY THEM. We’ll have to kick yo ass out if you don’t, sorry :(

Can I delete the comments I receive or the comments I make? Please say yes, I just confessed my love for someone and I regret it.

Yep, you can. Roll over any comment you have received/made and you will see a delete button. Press it. Voila!

How do I flag an outfit for inappropriate content? I just saw something horrid and I need to wash my eyes out with soap.

Click through to the outfit post and you will see a big red button on the bottom right that says ‘FLAG OUTFIT WITH WIWT ADMIN’. Click this button and we’ll look into it right away. (And we’re very sorry you had to see something nasty). If you’re not sure if something is ‘inappropriate’ or not, check out the WIWT Commandments for guidance.

How do I flag a user? There’s a person making WIWT a less awesome place to be.

If someone is misbehaving by being creepy, rude or offensive then let us know as soon as possible. We don’t want those kind of users on here and nor do you. Email us with the low down on what’s going on and we’ll look into it right away. Please include ‘Offensive behaviour’ in your subject line so that we address it as quickly as possible.

How can I delete my account forever? The world can't handle my awesomeness and I need to break free.

Oh man, that sucks! We don't want you to go :( But we know people sometimes have to part ways, email privacy@wiwt.com from the email address you are registered with asking us to delete the account and we will. It will be gone forever though, so don't ask us to delete it unless you're sure!

Can I intern with you? I'm super smart and willing and awesome.

WIWT is the brainchild of Poppy Dinsey, an English girl with an unhealthy obsession with Dustin Hoffman, burritos and killer heels (in that order). You can read more about the site’s history here.
