It’s really REALLY hard to not be obsessed with Anthropologie’s homeware offering. In fact, it’s completely natural and I would never urge you to do anything but roll with it. Sure, it might eventually bankrupt you, but it’s perfectly healthy to work towards the #ultimate #kitchen #goal of one day owning everything from a polar bear pepper shaker to a ring dish with a birdie on. It doesn’t matter if you don’t even wear rings, you NEED a ring dish.
But that all being said, their fashion offering is pretty ace too. The well curated array from all sorts of designers is a far cry from what most of the high street churns out. When you’re wearing Anthro you don’t have to risk being in a bar with five other girls all wearing the same thing (lol, Zara anyone?) and you feel like you’re buying something to wear for years, rather than until the end of a short-lived micro trend.
Here are some of my fave pieces…
1. Blouse – £34.95 (reduced from £70)
A girl can never have too many striped blouses. (Psssst, the petite version has been reduced even further in the sale and is just £27.95!)
2. Skirt – £78
You know what makes life easier? Statement skirts. Make your skirt a talking piece and your top half can literally be a plain white vest that you bought in Gap five years ago.
3. Jacket – £102.95 (reduced from £258)
Okay so if you’re anything like me then you’re fantasising about summer holidays but it IS still mighty cold out and you can always buy this now and save it as a massive treat for next winter. I mean LOOK AT IT. It’s a beaut and it’s less than half price.
4. Fedora – £34.95
Hats aren’t just for bad hair days, they can be the building blocks of any awesome outfit. I particularly like this one as it’s classic and elegant but the contrasting colours keep it interesting.
5. Trainers – £88
Even if you hated trainers, you’d love these trainers.
6. Dress – £128
I’m just completely dotty for it! *Audible groan*.
7. Coat – £114.95 (reduced from £292)
Another babe of a coat but this one is more transitional, making it perfect for RIGHT NOW. I like to imagine wearing this with sunglasses and a bunch of daffodils in my hand like “oh hi, yes, I am living the life of an instafamous megababe even though I’m actually hungover and really late for a meeting”.
8. Skirt – £67.95 (reduced from £98)
Silver is an underrated fabric colour and I firmly believe it should be busted out all year round. Don’t keep your silvery jacquard goodness just for Christmas when you could be wearing it in the height of summer with a neon yellow vest and a mega tan.
9. Dress – £118
I’d assumed that B*witched had put me off patchwork denim for life but lo and behold, this dress has converted me.
10. Dress – £59.95 (reduced from £150)
A ridiculously flattering fit and flare shape is always welcome.
11. Jumper – £57.95 (reduced from £98)
Aware I’ve already made the dotty joke, let’s just say that the pom-poms on this jumper are so cute that I would happily be a cheerleader for it. (Yeeeeeeah, I was quite tired when I wrote this).
12. Top – £53.95 (reduced from £108)
I know I’m slightly biased as I’m obsessed with birds, but I really do think that more clothes should have feathers on them. Details matter, people!
13. Skirt – £35.95 (reduced from £90)
Another GREAT sale price but I just love the detailing of this wrap skirt. Plus, Anthropologie have the exclusive on this French label so you don’t have to worry about every other gal wearing it.
14. Trainers – £98
These trainers are apparently *really* good for running. I wouldn’t know of course, having never run further than 1500m in PE (which I hated every minute of and still have nightmares about, natch) but I’d buy them just to wear with jeans and a t-shirt. They’re bloody beautiful.
15. Dress – £118
Obviously I had to include a wrap dress, especially when it’s one this swoonsome.
16. Paradise Found Dinnerware – From £16
I couldn’t not mention plates, especially as this new range is dropping on the 8th of Feb.
