Formal dressing is so much fun. I really believe I was born in the wrong era! I would have loved to dress up every night and wear glamorous gowns from the 30s like Jean Harlow.

For this event I am wearing a Melinda Eng silk chiffon handkerchief bottom gown in shades of grey. The halter top is a favorite and has the most flattering cut. The rhinestone waistband adds just the right amount of sparkle.

I paired this with diamond earrings set in platinum which are made up of several smaller pairs of earrings that I had combined into one design. My evening bag is Edidi and my shoes are Christian Dior. I also love to wear these shoes with jeans and a white blouse in the summer.
