New season collections are VERY good at trying to make us forget that the sales are still on. But hello! Let me just act as your bank manager for a moment and remind you that there are still many brilliant bargains to be found. The sales are by no means over and with the seasons moving so quickly in fashion, a lot of what has been reduced is what you’d actually want to wear right now.
This is obviously triumphant news and whilst I totally understand the allure of big fluffy jumpers despite it still being August, let’s not forget that there are still sunny days to be had and holidays to be taken. It’s supposed to be 28 degrees this weekend for gawd’s sake!
Here are some of my fave sale pieces, with a bonus £10 vest which isn’t on sale but I really like. I’m hoping you’ll forgive its inclusion given the price tag.
1. Striped Hat from Anthropologie – £28.95 (was £58)
If you’re after a lolsome beach hat, keep scrolling as there’s one coming up. If it’s elegance you’re after, look no further. I’d have encouraged buying this at full price, but at under £30 I think this really is a bargain for such a special hat.
2. Tee by Gem&I – £18 (was £30)
Maybe I’m regressing into a gobby teenager but I would wear this t-shirt, especially as the slogan is accurate more often than I’d care to admit.
3. Earrings from Oliver Bonas – £18 (were £22)
These are just lovely and I like that they mix silver and gold, giving you more opportunities to match with jewellery you already have.
4. Sweatshirt by Gem&I – £24 (was £40)
Pass me the sweater and pass me a spoon.
5. Sweatshirt by Gem&I – £24 (was £40)
It’s the best meal there is. Don’t @ me.
6. Pocket Square by Pocket & Fold – £13 each (down from £18)
I think these are intended as menswear but hey, women’s jackets can come with pockets too and when they do? WE SHOULD HAVE POCKET SQUARES. Don’t let the boys have all the fun.
7. Straw Hat by ASOS – £14 (was £20)
Okay it’s bit silly but it’s the type of thing I shout a lot when I’ve had too many mojitos round the pool so I know I’d wear it and think I’m the funniest person alive.
8. Tee by Gem&I – £21 (was £35)
Chocolate truffles? White truffles? Who knows….both are very acceptable.
9. Vest by Missguided – £10
Not a sale item (sorrrrrrrry) but only a tenner and I really like it. There’s a Givenchy rottweiler vibe without feeling like a rip-off. I like the deep arm holes too.
10. Tee by Gem&I – £18 (was £30)
Story of my life.
11. Notebook by Sloane Stationery – £15 (was £29)
Okay so you can’t wear it but you could use it to jot down outfit ideas and every time you see it you’ll think of Beyoncé so what’s not to love?
