I had a really nice wrap for lunch today (halloumi, minted yoghurt, pomegranate, pickled cabbage – all the good stuff) and it got me thinking about wrap dresses and wrap tops and wrap skirts and even Christmas wrapping paper, because that’s how easily I’ll allow my mind to wander when the alternative is doing year end accounts.
Anyway I shan’t complain as the result of this delicious lunch and wrappy daydream is the below edit. I hope you like it.
Happy shopping! x
1. Bridson Wrap Dress by Finery – £65
Even nicer than the halloumi wrap which prompted this whole piece…and that’s saying something.
2. Midi Dress by Lavish Alice – £58
I like the idea of keeping this dress neutral a la the styling above, but I’m really REALLY keen to team with a vampy red lip and emerald green heels too.
3. Pyjama Wrap Jumpsuit by ASOS – £45
Pyjamas are not allowed to be pyjamas anymore. They have to be silky and tailored and hot first date worthy, like the above.
4. Dress by Topshop – £39
Part of me thinks I’ve featured this dress before but maybe that’s because I’ve seen so many bloggers wear it on Insta. It IS very lovely though and it’s sort of Team GB colours which means you can justify buying it for good Olympic vibes. DO IT FOR YOUR COUNTRY.
5. Wrap Midi by ASOS – £38
I have seen this dress in the flesh and can confirm it is a total win. Looks a lot spendier than it is.
6. Stripe Dress by Mango – £14.99 (was £29.99)
It’s half price, so it’s not a surprise that there aren’t many left. Be quick if you want this elegant summer staple in your wardrobe. (I want to wear it with a GIGANTIC hat).
7. Striped Bardot Top by Oasis – £26
Again, not many of these left. But is that any surprise when it combines Bardot, stripes AND a wrap front?
8. Wrap Dress by ASOS Premium – £95
This is the kind of dress I imagine wearing to a festival, seemingly forgetting what festivals actually involve. Perhaps it would be better suited to a fancy holiday dinner or a summer wedding. If you can envisage a situation where you can laze about on a hay bale whilst wearing it, then you simply must buy it now.
9. Wrap Skirt by Topshop – £34
Also makes for a very nice dress.
10. Shirt Wrap Playsuit by ASOS – £45
Can someone please wear this to an interview and report back for me? IT’S SO SASSY.
11. Faux Leather Skirt by Oasis – £38
I feel a bit cruel including this as if I’m trying to remind you that autumn is on the way but I’m sure you’ll forgive me given the pintuck detail.
12. Wrap Jeans by ASOS – £22 (down from £32)
I feel like these are what I need to magically be able to master calligraphy. Don’t ask me why, I can just see the wrap folds being a good place to stuff my pens.
