This is actually what I wore on Thursday but hey, I was exhausted, What can I tell you!
The jacket and I have a love hate relationship. There I've said it, its out there! I toyed with the idea of buying it in last years summer sale at All Saints. I typically left it until the last minute and then panic bought it over the internet using paypal funds. It was a very good discount (£185 - £55) but when it arrived it wasn't what I expected.
It is more like a coat jacket then a suit jacket. Not sure if that makes sense. The finish is oil washed which gives it a worn, rugged and dirty look, a look I tried (and failed) to replicate many times using my own boyish facial features!
Anyways, I tried it out on Thursday as it was hot, but not hot enough to sport a linen jacket and... well, What do you think? Yay? Nay? Bay? May? Clay? Say? Whahay?
I have bought some new summer shorts from H&M today. You are in for a summer WIWT treat. Oh yeah!

Het hem. The hard hat comes out when I need to visit certain sites. I'm a project manager for a property company and one of my roles is managing office refurbishments, you know making them all nice and shiny to entice new tenants. I actually suggested our company strapline should be lifted from Vanilla Ice's No.1 smash Ice Ice Baby - (If there was a PROJECT yo! I'd solve it check out my hook while my DJ revolves it! Company Name Baby. Comp-An-Ny, Company Name Baby).
Yeah, he asked for me to leave. And to do it straight away... :(Glad you like the look guys. I will now be breakdancing to teh Axel Foley Theme tune. I will try to replicate this in my next post! Stay tuned!

Ice ice baby was one of my fav songs, know every word, and now it will be in my head all day! I used to be in the building word, I headed up a maintenance company (before becomng a mum) so finding a bag to house the hard hat was always a task!

Well as you know the 'building game' is ridiculously incestuous (the first and only time I will be using THAT word!) and your reputation still aids to focus the minds of my contractors instilling and wide eyed fear and occasional trouser wetting.
More power to you girl! Are you done maintaining or will you be returning armed with the knowledge of every kid trick and scheme in the book and the ability to scan a room Robocop style for toddler dangers?

Very funny! As a parent you do that don't you! Never thought of myself as robocop! I will now! I would love to return to it but my hubby and started up our own business which takes a lot of my time and I now do a couple of weeks doing marketing and support for a company who builds custom coppers, very fun! But never say never!

Wait-a-minute! You work for a company that design custom coppers!!!! Your company make Robocops!!!! Your marketing skills need some tweaking as I have NEVER HEARD of this company before. Unless its internal marketing and you work for the military. In which case wink, wink, nudge, tug lapel, wink. Do they need a project manager wink-wink?
